When I joined Symbiosis Institute of Design, one of my seniors introduced me to flickr.com. This is a website where you may upload your pictures. I introduced my close friends and family to it. I believe that it is a very good platform for people who take pictures, whether good or bad. You get comments from random browsers and that really makes a difference. Soon people begin to be regular viewers of your work. Also, you can take pictures of your other work too.
The picture above is what Neda clicked. I really like her work now. Before, I wasn't really fond of it but now I blog about it.
Way to go, ned!

Powai Lake

The story of the IIT in Powai begins some what like this- some guy about 50 years ago felt damn lonely since he was such a genius mind that he decided to find some company. Strangely at that point of time smart and genius were known as geeks (or freaks or something of that sort). Therefore our old guy decided, out of shame, to resort to exile. This exile is known as Powai, which is not exile anymore. It would rather be called Posh Powai affectionately.
Let us call our geek Geek. So, Geek found this one lake and named it Powai lake. Since all civilizations are founded near water bodies, Powai Lake shall not be any different. Geek built a small hut and bought a bicycle. Soon this civilization of his became popular among people like him and they all decided to shift in. Indian Institute of Technology was thus formed.
Geek and the iitians, beginning to get bored with the monotony of their genius and exile, concluded to try what the non-geek people called a Blast. Most of them hated the idea and did not want to be involved but they tried it out anyway.
They used the name of colors explain different types of experiments. A full plan and known consequences was denoted by green, a hypothetical explanation was denoted by orange and so on. There were many colors and many categories but strangely this ‘blast’ did not seem to fit in and that led them to decide on Indigo. Their little out-of-the-way party was called Mood Indigo.
Geek and iitians learnt that mood indigo attracted the non-geek, this made them really happy and so they extended the experiment period over four days.
00:00:01 A New Day
All my friends all over the world are partying together and I am here in Uran in my married sister’s house watching some soap on tv. I am really not paying attention to what is actually happening in the show. It’s quite depressing that I am home doing just about nothing at this time of the year.

Upon the rising tide
Today i had an english communication exam. It was to be written and so I did. What I wrote you shall not want to know because no matter how confusing I sound it will remain a fact that the sleep is more intoxicating than confusion.
i remember just one sentence from the hundreds that I jot down- The sun does not set into the horizon.
Happiness is being content it is your decision whether you understand it or not. Communicate with the person that you hide inside. Befriend yourself.

news
Just got out of the thermacol workshop. We had to make a spere/cube, design a tile and make a twisted object. you can see the pictures below. before thermacol my group did the MDF and wire workshop. MDF wasn't very great but wire was lots of fun. I completed my wire asignments in one day although we had 3 and a half days to do it.
I am seldom nostalgic instead i find new ways of making things better in my life now. when i am out and think of home, surprisngly the hostel room and bed come into my mind.
The only person who can make a place home for me is my mum.
dad's coming down soon. he'll probably drop by to see where i live and study.
i miss my long hair!

I have been meandering over my life in college. It’s so interesting and there’s just so much to do and I’m so awed by the possibilities of what all I can do that I just can’t do anything. That is a very long sentence but it explains my agony. My struggle against lethargy can be a subject for scholars.
Art and design is what I have wanted all my life and now that I finally have it why am I not making anything out of it? Why am I taking it all for granted? Don’t I know how much it took me to get here? God, we need to work together. Let’s get my energy and passion back. Let me not drown into the pool of boredom and joblessness. Let me strive and work hard for what I need most – the freedom of mind and expression, the path to self-realisation, an end which when reached shall make me respect my history of struggle.
Let me not become someone who I don’t want to be. Let’s begin today. Let’s make things like I’ve wanted them to be.
Oki Doki.

rambling
I had planned to go to school to meet my teachers but I think I'll meet them on my next trip here. Wonder how things will be then. So, my flight is on the 7th of this month. That's precisely two days away since I'm flying at one a.m.

things of matter
There are some things in life that you must never take for granted. These few things are listed below. You may add more according to your life cycle.
Your very own paint brush: Now a paint brush is the instrument of my life, for a writer it may be a pencil for a carpenter it may be a saw etc. Always look after your paint brush with the most love and care. Clean it and wipe it after every session, restore its bristles to shape. This is one thing that will earn you self-satisfaction.
Your own name: When we are younger we hate our name; the way it sounds; the way in which it is written. But, the sooner we realize that this name is our identity in the world the better. Your name is the only thing in the whole world that you respond to as a reflex. If you learn to respect it; you learn self-respect.
Your body: Respect your body; it is your only possession. Things may come and go; you may rule over masses and then be thrown over but there’s one thing you can rule forever; your actions. Your body is the only thing that can earn you bread at the end of the day. It is your most expensive possession; so use it wisely.
Goodbye World
Also, my goals revert to wanting to be the best at what I do, being unsocial, rude and drowning in the shower.
My life cycle is at its end, I'm going back into the box and I shall come return again. So, Goodbye world!

post problem?

IMPORTANT NOTICE
One of my friends in India has a great blog since I've come to Dubai for vacations he hasn't posted even once.
Blogging is a very tough thing to do in the long run. It's very similar to the empty promises of writing in a diary everyday. I think that it is very important for all readers to keep their writers going and the only way to do that is giving feedback.
Pretentious
I walked into very posh stores which have reasonably priced designer outfits. Not to mention that what will fit into my budget (a dhs.30 t-shirt) will be of the worst quality and de-shape in one single wash. So I picked up a t-shirt for dhs.44 and went to try it on. It is a fact that i have put on a lot of weight and my tummy flaunts it. In the trial room I get frustrated looking at how un-shapely the garment looks. All my rising hopes die like burning paper.
All clothes in such shops are meant for skinny people. Half the world's is over-weight and 90% of the rest half can't afford these clothes, so who exactly is the market favoring? And hey, wait up...the ten percent that's left- most of them include very rich people who won't even look at these shops twice while walking past. Now let's get the ball rolling...
The people who walk in may be suffering from a form of masochism. This behavior could be spotted coming from a fat woman or slightly over weight girl buy skinny clothes thinking that in the near future she shall compel herself to fit into those clothes. But, sadly these clothes only taunt her everyday as they stare at her from the cupboard space and remind her everyday of how ugly she is because she can't fit into them.
Now we come to the 'white' problem. I strolled into another shop with my (forever amazing body) sister and (awesome legs) sister-in-law. Here I didn't care to look at the clothes because I was sure about them laughing at me. I found make-up. Now, make-up isn't as bad as skinny clothes. At least every woman on the planet can use make-up no matter how fat or dark she is.
This is not a white country. It is fairish-brown country. The shop I was in does not specialize in make up but they had something to offer. I saw this tempting set of eye make up which was known as the 'gypsy colors'. My sister-in-law stood beside me and tried on one of the shades. It was hardly showing on her skin and she walked off from the make up booth saying that the shades are for 'very fair' skin.
So I conclude... saying nothing else but one thing, the people in this world are very pretentious.
